Sales Associate Rachel Cauntay (“Con-tay”) knows how important home is. She loves helping people find theirs, whether her client is buying a house or selling one to make a home elsewhere. Having bought and sold four of her own family homes, Rachel understands the process from the inside out. She’s overseen extensive remodels and built one house from the ground up on country property. This experience brings exceptional value to her clients. She can communicate design, materials, fixtures and construction details about homes her clients might consider buying, or about homes she’s listing for sale.
Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science from the prestigious theater program at Northwestern University. While living in Berkeley, she taught high school English and Social Studies in San Lorenzo, CA, then worked as a trainer for dogs and their owners. She has travelled extensively and lived all over the country and abroad. She grew up in the Bahamas, Wisconsin, Massachusetts and Connecticut, but Sebastopol is where she chose to build her home and family. This community has been her bountiful home for 13 years. As a real estate professional, Rachel is especially enthusiastic about properties in Sebastopol, Occidental and northwest Santa Rosa.
Rachel is passionate about supporting organizations that serve our community. While parenting her two children, she’s served on the board of a family foundation that awards grants to smaller, local nonprofits including The Ceres Community Project, The Parenting Institute, and Landpaths, to name a few.
Rachel was drawn to Corcoran Global Living by the whole-hearted dedication of the firm’s agents. She loves how TF fuses the best aspects of its agents – their extensive professional experience and their humanity – into a community-based, client-centered approach. When she’s not helping people find homes, Rachel enjoys running, yoga, cooking, eating, writing, hiking, camping, and, particularly, dancing Cha Cha with her husband.
