Makenna joined Corcoran Global Living in July 2018 after graduating from California State University, Chico with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing. Most recently, Makenna was a marketing intern at Chico Photography where she created a strategic marketing plan, developed their social media channels and created a training manual. She also assists her mom, Donna Nordby, Associate Partner with Corcoran Global Living, with staging and marketing for listings.
Makenna’s business philosophy centers around focusing on listening. “In any situation, listening generally leads to understanding. It allows you to take in new information and uncover other’s needs and viewpoints to facilitate long lasting relationships. This tool has helped not only in business and school but in my personal life.”
Makenna currently resides in Sebastopol, but spends most of her time in the Russian River area, “I love going to the river, exploring Sonoma County, and camping.” She is passionate about dance, art, and traveling. She also loves watching Fixer Upper, and going to flea markets and garage sales.
As an alumnae member of Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority, she participates in Girls on the Run, a program that empowers young women, raises money for the American Cancer Society, donates blood to BloodSource, and puts on canned food drives for homeless centers in Chico.
