Makenna is an experienced and passionate marketing specialist who focuses on strategy, branding, and storytelling. She is well versed in digital, print and social media marketing; spearheading a number of campaigns for local businesses and Realtors® across Marin, Sonoma and Napa Counties.
Makenna started an independent marketing company after graduating from California State University Chico, where she earned a B.S. in Business Marketing and a Professional Sales Certificate from the Seufferlein Sales Program. She consults a large clientele of Realtors®, helping them identify their competitive advantage and using their unique voice to effectively communicate to their target market. She is also their “go-to” for residential, estate and commercial property marketing.
Concurrently, she has been employed at Corcoran Global Living, formerly Terra Firma Global Partners, for over 2 years as the Social Media Director and marketing support person. Working at a boutique brokerage has taught her the value of relationships and that adaptability is paramount, as a “wearer of many hats.”
As a Sonoma County resident of over 20 years, Makenna takes pride in her hometown, loves her community, and has extensive knowledge of the area. Her local connections and extended family of local business owners root her in her community. She says that “Sonoma County feels tiny” because she always “knows someone who knows someone.”
Makenna currently resides in the small town of Cazadero on a 300+ acre ranch, where her and her partner recently renovated his grandparent’s 1950s cabin. “There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a project through from start to finish.” Makenna has a creative eye and is passionate about graphic and interior design. She is so grateful to be able to use creativity in her job every day. She is currently pursuing her real estate license and is a new mom raising the cutest baby boy born in 2020.
As an alumnae member of Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority, she participates in Girls on the Run, a program that empowers young women and participates in a variety of local philanthropic causes.
