Lauren Thompson joined Terra Firma Global Partners’ Sonoma Office in June 2015 offering the highest level of marketing and administrative support. Lauren began her career in 2002 just out of college working for a mortgage finance company in Burlingame where she took on the role of loan processor. Honing her administrative and leadership skills, Lauren grew to be a valued member of the firm and was quickly promoted to office manager overseeing a variety of marketing communications initiatives, assisting with loan originations, earning her real estate license and ultimately handling her own clientele.
Raised in Burlingame just south of San Francisco, Lauren graduated from UC Santa Barbara where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Now married with two sons, Lauren currently volunteers on the PTA for the John B. Riebli Elementary where her children attend school. Previously, she served on the board of Santa Rosa Mother’s Club, the board of the Christ Methodist Preschool and as the donations chairperson for the Mark West Education Foundation. In her spare time, Lauren loves playing with her children, cooking and entertaining with friends and family, and is a health and fitness enthusiast.
When Lauren decided to relocate to Sonoma in 2008, she worked locally for seven years in a variety of business and marketing roles, including the wine industry. Fond memories of her time spent in the mortgage business prompted Lauren to seek an opportunity to return to her career in real estate. When the position to work in a marketing administration position became available at Terra Firma Global Partners, Lauren jumped at the opportunity feeling it was a perfect chance to use her backgrounds in marketing and real estate finance while making deeper connections with the community.
Lauren believes being successful in all aspects of real estate requires trust, collaboration, and excellent communication. Her philosophy towards service is: “if it’s important to you, it’s important to me.”
