Sonoma

I have lived in Sonoma County my entire life, raised a family and experienced all of the many benefits the County has to offer. With fifty plus years of experience I feel qualified to talk about many of the attributes of the area. Obviously there has been a great deal of change in the last five decades but one thing that hasn’t changed is the quality of life, in fact it has only improved. What was once a very rural area that was driven almost entirely by agricultural trade, today has diversified into a blend of many economic opportunities from tourism to high tech without losing its rural roots. A five to ten minute drive from just about anywhere in the county will put you in some of the most beautiful countryside you will ever come across. Vineyards, open pastures, mountains, streams, rivers and a Pacific Ocean coastline that can take your breath away are just a few of the many sites you can see.

Sonoma County also has a vibrant arts and entertainment menu to choose from on any given weekend. From symphonies to acclaimed musicians along with some great local talent you can always find a venue that offers a fun time no matter your age. If you like history and art you will have many choices almost anywhere you go.

If the outdoors is where you want to be you will have plenty to do with thousands of acres of park and recreation land that offers hiking, horseback riding, biking, swimming, boating or just an old fashion family picnic at one of many parks or wineries.

To me in order to be a thriving community you need a solid education system for everyone. Sonoma County boasts some of the most acclaimed schools and colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area in both the public and private sectors.
