Ellen has been a top producer each year since starting her real estate career in an exceptionally challenging time. Having worked in banking for well over a decade with National and local companies such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Napa National has given her a strong foundation and understanding of not only finance nuisances, but how to navigate the current climate of distressed properties at all levels. With her experience as a Pre-Foreclosure consultant, she has the acumen and negotiating skill set to have successfully closed over 95% of her short sale transactions.
Whether Ellen is working with Sellers assisting them in preparing a property for market to include extensive valuation work, staging, facilitating inspections and/or repairs or helping Buyers to find the home of their dreams or investment property she focuses on developing a plan that explores and evaluates all options in today’s market place. She has extensive knowledge with a variety of property types to include country/acreage, downtown vintage, fixers, condos as well as multi-family units. Ellen also brings to the table construction and project management experience having managed several property renovations and property management of personal investment properties.
She has great success representing both Buyers and Sellers in “multiple- offer” situations and knowing how to effectively advocate for her clients. Keeping them part of the process and informed throughout a transaction is her key concern.
In addition to her branch and district management experience she also led successful marketing initiatives for the banking industry with an emphasis on increasing a retail presence for Napa National Bank and Lakeside Bank in Chicago. This allows her to leverage that experience to showcase and develop the most expansive and effective “launch” programs for her listings.
Finally, Ellen represents the additional values so important to Terra Firma—giving back to her community… Ellen has helped to maximize fundraising and net profits for local schools such to include St. Helen Co-op Nursery School. She has 10 years of participation in local schools to include Mt. George Elementary School, St John’s Lutheran and Justin Siena with an emphasis on curriculum and fundraising.

“Ellen is very professional, ethical, and pro-active. She is always available to answer questions, and calm the jitters associated with real estate transactions. She communicates well not only with her clients, but also with the other agents and professionals (lenders, inspectors, title officers, etc) associated with the transaction. My husband and I worked with Ellen on a regular sale, a short sale and an REO sale – we were confident in her ability to help us navigate these transactions and would hire her services again in a second.” ~ M. “We always felt like we were in good hands and that you represented what was in our best interest whenever it came to deal with the other agent, lender, etc… It was truly the first time ever we did not need to second guess or micro-manage our Real Estate Agent to be sure our interests were being fairly represented. We intend to refer you to anyone who asks!!” ~ M. & N. Simmons
