Tom Kern

Sales Associate

Tom has brought his considerable real estate experience and sales expertise to Terra Firma’s Napa County Offices. He has been in real estate for more than a generation, having become a commercial property owner and investor in 1990.

“In 2016, after 27 years of marriage, moving 22 times and owning 13 homes we decided that becoming real estate professionals was our future,” he said.

The well-traveled Kerns will serve Sonoma and Napa counties — with Tom focused on commercial and residential business while his wife Sonya  is working in the residential real estate market serving buyers and sellers.

“My philosophy is simple,” he said. “Treat people the way you would want to be treated, listen to even their most minor problem and then follow up with a lifetime of professional and heartfelt customer service.”

Born in Albany, OR., Tom “grew up all over the USA” as his family moved from job-to-job in industrial electrical construction. In the past 25 years, the commercial real estate and sales veteran has built and sold several successful business’s, acquired many properties as the owner of Northrup Properties Corporation, including a substantial warehouse-to-loft conversion project in Portland’s Pearl District. The Kerns also own commercial properties in Sun Valley and Nampa, Idaho.

It’s no coincidence that such expertise and his success in what he calls the “people business” has led him and his wife to Terra Firma Global Partners.

“TFGP has the highest standards, the most accessible team, the tools to be the real estate company of the future and always a kind, professional, forward-thinking approach,” he said.

An avid cyclist, Tom won salesperson of the year at Advanced Sports International, the fifth largest bicycle company in the world, prior to joining Terra Firma Global Partners.
