Summer joined Terra Firma’s Sonoma County Offices in 2016, after more than 10 years of unique hospitality industry experience. The Bay Area native brings to the job a strong passion for customer service, having dedicated herself to delivering quality experiences to clients, from events to vacations and now dream homes.
Summer showed strong initiative and people skills early on, starting a babysitting business at the age of 10 and playing both volleyball and softball for St. Patrick-St. Vincent High School in Vallejo, Calif. Having grown up in the real estate business — both her mother and grandfather were successful brokers — the fourth-generation Benician studied Hotel Management and Human Resources at Chico State University, spending summers training in Mackinac Island, Mich.; Cork, Ireland; Incline Village, Nev.; and Rancho Bernardo, Calif.
“I loved meeting the guests from all over the world and getting the opportunity to enrich their vacation in a positive way,” she said.
After graduation, Summer followed her love of sports, travel and hotels to an Event Manager role for a sports travel company. “I traveled the world with my clients, creating magical moments they would always treasure: the Super Bowl, World Cup, a walk around Augusta National Golf Club and more. We did it all! It was a wonderful and adventurous decade on the road, but home was calling my name.”
Returning to Northern California, the straightforward, dedicated customer-service professional sought a real estate company that shares her commitment to exceeding the client’s expectations. Terra Firma not only embraces that customer-service approach, it also provides a supportive team environment. “I love to deliver happiness. It’s the perfect fit for me,” said Summer, who will focus her real estate services primarily on Petaluma, her beloved hometown.
When not serving her real estate clients, Summer serves others, including volunteering her time to her son’s charter school and the River Montessori Foundation, a parent-led group that raises money for the school and builds community among its families. Her passions include family, snowboarding, yoga, local and organic foods, and traveling to Lake Tahoe, her “happy place.”
