Sales Associate Rachel Cauntay (“Con-tay”) joined the Sebastopol office of Terra Firma Global Partners in 2017 after a full-time, 15-year commitment to mothering her two daughters. She is new to the professional side of real estate, but has personally bought and sold four family homes. One involved an intensive remodel and one was a custom-build from the ground up on country property.
“My experience remodeling and building homes brings exceptional value to my clients. I can communicate design, materials, fixtures and construction details about homes my client might consider buying, or about homes I’m listing for sale.”
Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science from the prestigious theater program at Northwestern University. While living in Berkeley, she taught high school English and Social Studies in San Lorenzo, CA, then worked as a trainer for dogs and their owners. She has travelled extensively and lived all over the country and abroad. She grew up in the Bahamas, Wisconsin, Massachusetts and Connecticut, but Sebastopol is where she chose to build her home and family. This community has been her bountiful home for 13 years. As a real estate professional, Rachel is especially enthusiastic about properties in Sebastopol, Occidental and northwest Santa Rosa.
Rachel is passionate about supporting organizations that serve our community. While parenting her two children, she’s served on the board of a family foundation that awards grants to smaller, local nonprofits including The Ceres Community Project, The Parenting Institute, and Landpaths, to name a few.
Rachel was drawn to Terra Firma Global Partners by the whole-hearted dedication of the firm’s agents. She loves how TF fuses the best aspects of its agents – their extensive professional experience and their humanity – into a community-based, client-centered approach. When she’s not helping people find homes, Rachel enjoys running, yoga, cooking, eating, writing, hiking, camping, and, particularly, dancing Cha Cha with her husband.
